Seating for the ‘new’ workplace_
The office itself is changing shape and function; we are starting to see a reduction in the requirement for permanent workstations, and being replaced by a new ‘softer’, more domestic, feel for the workplace, with soft furnishings being used as breakout areas, informal meeting places and occasional workspaces.
Greater emphasis is perhaps being placed on the office acting primarily as a place of communication and collaboration; conceivably the place to foster the Company culture and to inspire employees, rather than just a place to work. While standard sofas and lounge seating can provide an opportunity for relaxation, this new way of working now also requires quick and easy access to power, privacy as well as to ergonomic comfort.
The Anna lounge seating and Worksofa collection can provide a key component in planning comfortable, supportive shared spaces in the new workspaces in the post-pandemic office, allowing relaxation collaboration and occasional work to take place whenever and wherever required. Simple, accessible, under-seat, or in-table power is available, wherever required, while robust laptop pads provide the platform for digital workbooks, a coffee or for a notebook.
