The decreasing Covid-19 infection numbers and a little more freedom, regained as a result of increased vaccination rates, have raised hopes that we are beginning to see a return to ‘business as usual’. However, the economic impact of the pandemic over the past 18 months has now become even more evident than ever.
Due to the ongoing global shortages of raw materials in all sectors, worldwide prices continue to escalate and have led to rapidly increasing component costs across all product ranges. Added to this, transport and logistic costs have increased dramatically, as container costs reach previously unseen levels in the UK of up to five times the 2020 costs.
While Verco always strive to mitigate all price increases, the combination of these ‘global’ factors have together resulted in Verco now being forced to adjust our current retail prices by 6% across our entire product portfolio.
This increase will be effective from all orders placed on, or after 1st September 2021
We are aware of the difficulties that this decision may cause you however, if we are to continue to be a viable manufacturer and business partner, we need to be able to manage the current situation together, in conjunction with your ongoing support and co-operation.
Our existing 2021 Specification Guide and price list is being updated and will be re-issued in a digital format, to be distributed through the usual channels. In the meantime, we thank you for your loyalty and your understanding in these uniquely ‘challenging’ times.
